For my birthday last year my good friend Phil gave me a Bonsai Tree growing kit. A couple of months on, the seeds have turned into little green shoots!
Most people don’t know that Bonsai trees are in fact just normal trees, which are trimmed to a specific size/shape as they grow. These particular plants are (if I remember rightly) a mix of Japanese Maple, Juniper, and Elm.
I’m also quite pleased with how the shot came out – I was using manual focus for this one as AF just didn’t want to lock onto those tiny little shoots of green.
