GIANT Umbrella Tree PART 1

The umbrella-tree (Magnolia tripetala) is generally described as a Perennial Tree. This Dicot (dicotyledon) is native to the US (United States) and has its most active growth period in the Spring . The Umbrella-Tree has Green foliage and conspicuous White flowers, with conspicuous Red fruits or seeds. The greatest bloom is usually observed in the Spring, with fruit and seed production starting in the Summer and continuing until Summer. Leaves are not retained year to year. The Umbrella-Tree has a Short life span relative to most other plant species and a Moderate growth rate. At maturity, the typical Umbrella-Tree will reach up to 30 feet high, with a maximum height at 20 years of 30 feet. The Umbrella-Tree is usually not commercially available except under contract. It can be propagated by Bare Root, Container and Seed. It has a Slow ability to spread through seed production and the seedlings have High vigor. Note that cold stratification is not required for seed germination and the plant cannot survive exposure to temperatures below -3°F. Umbrella-Tree has Low tolerance to drought and restricted water conditions.
